This company caught my eye based on the name alone... sounded quite similar to an old gold company Desert Sun Mining (DEZ) that I made my best returns on.
Did a little looking around, and low and behold... the President/CEO of Central Sun Mining is none other than Peter Tagliamonte - former Pres/CEO of Desert Sun Mining:
http://finance.google.com/finance?q=AMEX:SMCDEZ was a small mining outfit that opened a new mine into production in Brazil, that got bought out by Yamana gold a few years ago, with noted acclaim after Tagliamonte won Mining Magazine's "Mine Manager of the Year" in 2005:
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0EIN/is_2005_Dec_12/ai_n15930780I think DEZ's mine was one of the major factors, if not the biggest sole factor, in the rise of Yamana gold to their current share price and esteem.
Central Sun's current mine is in Nicaragua... which is questionable... but so was Brazil... and Tagliamonte was able to get things going there... so I'm going to be looking at this company closely for a buy.
Any other opinions/insight into the company, please share!!
