Live from New York

by JDH on November 8, 2014

I am writing this as I sit in my hotel room over looking Central Park. It is a beautiful fall morning.  Since I am pecking this out on my iPad, I will keep my comments brief, and provide more comments next week.

New York is the same. Congestion. Noise. But it is also full of energy. There are very few fat people walking the streets. They couldn’t keep up.

The limo driver from the airport said November has been slow. Some of the stores are still packed.

The new Macy’s, after a $400 million renovation, is a disappointment (according to my wife).  They are trying to be low end and high end, and it doesn’t work.  Sadly, it would appear, there is no longer a middle class in America.  You are either super rich, or you go to Walmart.

see you next week for my full report.
